It was a leap of faith and to move the 1889 building originally at 97 Rainey Street to her new home east of downtown, at 114 Linden Street.

The engineering and planning needed to disassemble and move the Lustre Pearl bungalow was worth the many headaches.

This has been the hardest re-use of a structure I’ve ever been involved with. It was a very unusual project that took nearly a year. I got the building off the site with only ten days to spare. There were a lot of pieces to this I had to learn along the way.

Now that the building is settled, it seems as though it has always been there.
